Spiritual Leadership - Luther Memorial Lutheran Church
Spiritual Leadership

Spiritual Leadership

“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor heights, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  Romans 8:38-39

Everyone is a spiritual leader.

All those who are a part of our community of faith are encouraged to participate in the spiritual leadership of the community.

In worship, adults lead as assisting ministers and communion assistants. Children of all ages participate as acolytes and crucifers. Our very youngest children carry

the communion elements forward as an offering each Sunday.

The Spirit also moves among us through our prayer warriors, the visitors who bring greetings and Euchairist to our shut-in members, Sunday School staff, choir, musicians, ushers and coffee hour hosts.

Luther Memorial is blessed to have Pastor Allan Ferguson serving as Transitional Pastor for our congregation since February, 2018, when Pr. Gail Wolling retired from fulltime congregational ministry; she still serves as Dean of the Crossroads Conference, ELCA Upstate NY Synod. Pr. Ferguson can be reached via email at: pastor@luthermemorialns.org or by calling the church office at 315-458-1481 X1 and leaving a detailed message. Sunday morning and Wednesday evening communion services are led by ministers in the community.
