Mini Projects

“…if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17.20

Shine your light! Here are a few quick and easy no cost/low cost outreach projects that you can get involved with.

Red Cross Blood Drives were generally hosted twice a year and we look forward to returning to that opportunity to serve in the community. Likely you are aware that the need for blood donations seems to be more critical than ever. Besides donating your blood, there are other ways to help out including people to set up and help put tables and chairs back in place; staffing the registration table; helping in the kitchen; and bakers are always needed. An hour or two is all it takes. Thanks Ruth for spearheading this effort!

Save Those Pop Tops! Save those pop tops from your cans of soup, soda, etc. Then, when you have a few built up, bring them in and deposit them in the jar in the social hall. Our 2018 contribution goes to the Upstate NY Synod Assembly where the cash realized from recycling goes toward our World Hunger

cantab2initiatives. It’s a win-win! You still get your deposit back on your returnables and the pop-tops join millions of others to be recycled. Thanks, Nan for taking our stash!

BOOKS 150x150Paperback Books for Vets – This is an opportunity for all of us to recycle our gently used paperback books. You may bring books in and leave them in the social hall; Jerome will occasionally run them up to the VA Hospital here in Syracuse. No magazines or hardcover books, please! Preferred are mystery, adventure and western themes that would appeal to men. Thanks, Jerome for your deliveries!

Recycle Ink Cartridges Here! Bring in those old, spent ink cartridges (any size) and we will recycle them to receive $2 each in Staples Rewards. The credit is usedimage002 to buy office supplies to support our ongoing mission work in the community and world. Thanks, Everyone!
